I began playing piano at the age of 8 (as well as trombone shortly afterwards) and music has always played a substantial part in my life. After graduating from Leeds University, England in Psychology and Music (BSc), I decided to pursue my interest in jazz piano performance at a professional level.
This brought me to The Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, where I graduated cum laude in 2013, and two years later in 2015 with a Masters degree, finishing top of my class.
Since then I have been teaching harmony, improvisation, solfège and ear training classes at the conservatory as well as working as a freelance teacher and pianist, performing in different ensembles and settings.
